Update on timing of follow-up report

The Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT) heard a complaint from the BBC and Vincent Kearney, and held a final hearing in that case in November 2025. 

Once the judgment of the IPT is available I will consider and announce my planned timetable for the follow-up report. That follow-up report will consider those matters which have been determined by the IPT (and were excluded from the Review under my Terms of Reference, whilst pending before the IPT), in so far as within my remit.

The follow-up report is also intended to review the implementation of the recommendations in my substantive report which was published on 24 September 2025.
